PC SKILLS and PROGRAMMES Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Powerpoint Acrobat , including PDF files Translation software: mainly Wordfast Adherence to deadlines and specifications I make every effort to accommodate special requests and to work within your deadlines. To avoid disappointment, I do not take on assignments and projects that are simply too large for the deadline set. Rates Usually, the rate that I charge for translations is 0.10 US Dollar/source word, 0.07 Euro/source word, or 0.06 GBP/source word. For proofreading the usual rate is 35 US Dollar/1,000 words, 25 Euro/1,000 words or 20 GBP/1,000 words. Translation I specialise in ''technical'' translations, especially research papers, protocols etc. Please note that although I am a native Dutch-speaker I am more comfortable translating from Dutch into English as I have lived, studied and worked in the UK for 13 years now (1/3 of my life!). Due to the current part-time nature of my translation work, I would normally prefer to have a weekend included in the project time frame. |
